Event FAQs
The Connection will be held at the Conrad Punta de Mita and Global DMC Partners is providing complimentary room accommodations over the Connection dates, starting Thursday, June 6th through Sunday, June 9th. If based on flight patterns, a flight is not available for you to arrive with enough time for the Connection opening, please email connection@globaldmcpartners.com to discuss your options. Please take note that if a flight is available for you to arrive in time for the event on the 6th, but you prefer to arrive on the 5th, you will be responsible for the room rate of $329 plus taxes for the night of the 5th. For those flying from Europe, a complimentary room will be provided for you on Wednesday, June 5th.
Airport transfers will be provided for all clients going to/from the PVR airport to Conrad Punta de Mita. If you are extending your stay at another property/location, Global DMC Partners will not be providing transfers for that leg and we’d ask that you make your way to/from the Connection on your own.
There are two options for transportation to/from the airport:
- Taxis - Taxis are available at the airport and cost around $105 for a sedan, $140 for a van/suburban.
- Airport Transfers – Tropical Incentives has extended a discounted rate if you’d like to arrange a transfer through them. The cost is $175 one way/$330 roundtrip.
Taking an Uber is not suggested. The taxi driver union makes it challenging, and if you choose to ride an Uber, you must walk about 10 minutes to get off airport facilities to grab the Uber. You could also be stopped by the taxi union during the drive.
Please indicate during the registration process your plans so we can arrange transfers accordingly.
Connection attendees may bring one (1) guest to the Connection at a special guest rate of $750. The guest must be at least 21 years of age and must stay in the same hotel room as you. The guest fees cover the following:
- Hotel room (share with Connection attendee)
- Transportation to and from the airport (only if arriving at the same time as the attendee). If Guest is arriving on a separate flight, we can provide transfers for a cost of $175 one way/$330 roundtrip. Alternatively, taxis are available at the airport and cost around $105 for a sedan.
- Meals and afternoon activities
- This is a fixed package price and remains the same even if the guest chooses not to participate in all activities/meals. Due to space limitations, the ability to bring a guest will be based on availability at the time you register.
You will receive an invoice from Global DMC Partners shortly after registering, payment can be made via credit card directly through that invoice, bank transfer or check. Payment must be received in order to confirm guest registration.
Education Sessions: Business Casual
Afternoon Activities: If you are participating in an afternoon activity, you will have time to change into comfortable clothing prior to the 2:00PM departure. Please dress casually/accordingly for your activity. All activities we’d encourage comfortable clothes and shoes, but for the ATV/RZR/Ziplining tour you must wear closed-toed shoes, and clothes you don’t mind if they get wet or muddy.
Evening Events: All evening events are Resort Casual, and a few items to note
- All evening events will be outdoors, and will either be on the grass or sand, so wearing stiletto heels is not suggested, flat bottom shoes such as wedges, sandals or flip-flops are suggested.
- For Men, no jackets needed, and shorts are acceptable
- Friday Night’s event will be a boho chic theme, and we are encouraging everyone to wear White/Cream/Beige attire.
- Other than that, Punta de Mita is all about color and being comfortable, so feel free to dress accordingly!
Should you want to extend your stay at the Conrad Punta de Mita, the room rate is $329 a night, plus taxes for double occupancy. The hotel has a maximum capacity of 3 adults, or 4 people (2 adults and 2 children.) It’s an additional $75 per person per night for an additional guest, children 17 years and under are complimentary.
Taxes are 16% for government tax, lodging tax of 5% and a service charge of 10%. The service charge covers porterage, bellman and housekeeping gratuity. You can block the additional room nights during registration.
CE credits will be awarded for attendance at the business sessions. Appropriate documentation will be uploaded onto EIC’s website after the event.
We're excited to offer attendees the chance to give back to local organizations in Riviera Nayarit by bringing donations for various local schools and community centers that we’ll introduce you to during the conference. Please consider bringing items such as children's books in English (ages 6-12), art supplies, and school essentials. Our goal is to present a big box of these “wish-list” items to the organizations during the event.
