Activities

We know you’ll want to get out and experience Lisbon, so we’ve curated a variety of afternoon activities
on Saturday, January 10, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned visitor,
there’s something here for everyone.

Some activities have participant minimums or maximums. If your chosen tour doesn’t fill, we’ll reach out
so that you can select an alternative.

City Tour

Take your city tour to the next level in a traditional Tuk Tuk, perfectly designed for navigating Lisbon’s winding streets. Along the way, you’ll hop on and off to explore different landmarks with your guide. Running rain or shine, Tuk Tuks are covered with side flaps to keep you dry and comfortable. Dress comfortably and in layers, as you’ll be getting in and out at each stop.

Food Experiences

Savor Lisbon’s flavors on a culinary journey by Tuk Tuk. Along the way, you’ll explore both well-known and hidden gem neighborhoods while stopping at three different venues to taste traditional Portuguese dishes and drinks. Dress comfortably and in layers, as you’ll be getting in and out at each stop.

Try your hand at making Portugal’s most beloved pastry, the pastel de nata. Held in the creative and sustainability-focused venue Weat, this hands-on class will give you the chance to bake and taste your own creations.

Located in the heart of Alfama, one of Lisbon’s most historic and charming neighborhoods, Taylor’s Port Wine Shop and Tasting Room offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover the legacy of one of Portugal’s most renowned Port houses. In this elegant setting, you will experience a curated selection of Taylor’s Ports — from the iconic classics to exclusive blends — while learning about the history, traditions, and craftsmanship behind one of the world’s most celebrated wines. Whether you are a connoisseur or simply curious, this is the perfect opportunity to savor the richness and complexity of Port wine in a truly authentic environment.

Walking Tours

Step into Lisbon’s living history through its traditional shops, many seemingly frozen in time. This is not a touristy shopping spree but an exploration of local craftsmanship, heritage brands and historic storefronts, often set in beautifully preserved buildings. Highlights could include:

  • Portuguese craftmanship (perfumery, stationery, toys, homewares, etc.), the Parisan influence on Lisbon through
  • Fabrics, embroidery, accessories, local wines, coffees, books and art. The guide will discuss all the options with the group and determine what everyone is most interested in exploring during the tour.

Weave through the Alfama District’s charming alleys (becos) and squares (largos) on your way to visit the magnificent São Vicente de Fora Monastery, home to one of the world’s largest collections of decorative tiles.
